The YSZ Series 15 PPM Oily Water Separator is expertly designed and manufactured in compliance with the IMO resolution MEPC.107(49), providing guidelines and specifications for pollution prevention equipment in the machinery space bilges of ships. This state-of-the-art device is engineered to efficiently treat bilge oil-water mixtures, including those without sediment, from various types of ships. It effectively separates oil from water, ensuring compliance with environmental standards. With its compact structure, small size, and lightweight design, the YSZ Series offers a large treatment capacity and high reliability, while being easy to operate and maintain. The separator is equipped with auto/manual heating, automatic effluent discharge, automatic alarm, and automatic recording of operating procedures, making it versatile and user-friendly. Additionally, it features an auto/manual switch for convenient manual oil discharge when needed. The device also includes a passive alarm signal interface for remote control signals, making it ideal for ships with a high degree of automation.
Principle of Operation:
The YSZ Series 15 PPM Bilge Separator is a gravity-type and isolating-type oil-filtering device. It comprises a separator, a special-purpose pump, an electric control box, a 15 ppm bilge alarm device, suction filters, and other pipelines, valves, and fittings. The separator utilizes a three-stage filtering process. Bilge water is pumped into the first-stage oil-filtering room by the bilge water pump, where oil and water are separated based on their specific gravity differences, with floating oil being separated from the water through gravity. Small oil particles are coalesced together in the second-stage oil-filtering room using a coalescer and then separated and float to the surface. Treated bilge water that meets the discharge standard after the second-stage treatment proceeds to the third-stage dialysis apparatus, which automatically separates emulsified oil from water, ensuring the bilge water meets the required discharge standard. The separated dirty oil is collected at the top of the oil-filtering room and automatically discharged to the dirty oil tank when a certain amount is reached.
