Mooring Shackle
General
Galvanized and mooring shackle, compact design, which is mainly used in connecting wire ropes with fibre ropes. The three sizes of specification including 90T, 120T and 180T, is utilized as well. Application: General towing or combination mooring.

Mooring Tail Selection Guidelines
Our company produces general mooring tails made of Nylon, Polyester, or mixed materials. Standard lengths are 11 meters and 22 meters, with two ends about 1.8m long (or according to customer requirements). Tails are equipped with a canvas protective cover. The crimped part of the ring should not exceed 10% of the total length.

Breaking strength requirements of mooring tails: For general mooring tails, please refer to the first table and confirm the specifications with the technical department.

Selection of mooring tail materials: High-strength synthetic fibers such as polyester (PES), polyamide (PA), or polyolefin (Polyolefin) mixed fibers are used. The use of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) fibers is not recommended.

Mooring tail types: Single-leg type and circular type.

Connection method: Double-eye and Cow-hitch connection with metal shackles. For special purposes, the use of double-eye connection is recommended.

Length of mooring tail: The recommended length is 11 meters. For open mooring stations, a 22-meter tail is recommended to improve the shock absorption performance of the system. The service life of the tail can be prolonged by periodically replacing the section. In practice, the tail length should be selected to be as short as possible while ensuring the possibility of repeated use and strong dynamic loads.
