Jacketed Rope is a high-performance rope made of High Modulus Polyethylene (HMPE) fiber with a protective HMPE braided jacket. The combination of high-strength HMPE fiber and a protective outer jacket gives the rope superior strength, low weight, excellent abrasion resistance, and long service life. It is widely used for mooring, towing, and lifting applications in the marine and offshore industries.
Key Features
-
High strength and low weight: The rope is as strong as steel wire rope of the same diameter, but much lighter.
-
Excellent abrasion resistance: The braided outer jacket provides superior protection against abrasion, wear, and environmental factors.
-
Low elongation: The rope has a low elongation of 3-4% at break, which ensures high stability and precise control.
-
Excellent UV resistance: The rope is resistant to the harmful effects of UV radiation and maintains its strength over time.
-
Excellent chemical resistance: The rope is resistant to most acids, alkalis, and solvents.
-
Low water absorption: The rope does not absorb water, which ensures excellent performance even in wet conditions.
