Product Features
- The material is nylon, polyester or a blend of polyester and polypropylene fibers.
- High elongation: The total length is 11m or 22m, with the pipa – heads at both ends being 1.5m, 1.8m or as per customer requirements.
- The eye – ring is protected with a canvas sheath.
The Breaking Force of the Circular Tail Cable
The breaking force of the circular tail cable = the breaking force of a single leg * 1.6. For specific details, please consult the engineers of Shenlong Rope Industry.
Tail Cable Material
- Polyamide fibers (nylon), polyester fibers/polyester braided double – layer fibers and other high – elasticity fibers. It is not recommended to use polyethylene fibers, and polyester/polypropylene double – layer fibers are not recommended. Polyethylene fibers and polypropylene fibers are not recommended.
Tail Cable Type
- Single – leg tail cable, circular tail cable.
Connection Form
- Double hitch (cow hitch), metal shackle. Unless otherwise specified, it is recommended to use the double hitch for connection.
Tail Cable Length
- A typical tail cable is 11 meters in length. However, for open – mooring berths, it is recommended to use 22 – meter tail cables to enhance the impact resistance of the mooring system. The length of the tail cable should be selected based on the location of the berth and the usage environment. The principle for choosing the length of the tail cable is to minimize the dynamic load generated in the mooring cable due to the ship’s displacement without exceeding the ship’s displacement limit.
Recommended Connection Form of HMPE Cable and Tail Cable
- Double knot.
