PTFE Composite Gaskets
PTFE composite gaskets mainly use ethylene – propylene – diene monomer rubber or nitrile rubber as the matrix, with their effective sealing parts encapsulated by activated – treated PTFE shells. The product reduces gasket coolant flow, increases the gasket’s blow – out resistance, and gives the gasket good rigidity, compressive strength, and rebound compensability. It is suitable for pressure and working conditions in relatively harsh scenarios such as polytetrafluoroethylene, glass – steel, PVDF/polypropylene or graphite – cast iron flanges. The raised sealing ring not only has multi – channel labyrinth sealing action but also reduces the sealing contact surface between the gasket and the flange, maintaining a relatively high sealing specific pressure, thus reducing the torque load added on the bolts for sealing by 75% compared to the required load for sealing. The 100% pure PTFE sealing surface provides a clean and pollution – free sealing surface while retaining the unique chemical resistance of PTFE. It is a rare reusable gasket and can be customized according to drawings.
