The ZYFM SERIES Marine Oil Water Separator, also known as a 15PPM Bilge Separator, is a highly efficient and reliable device designed for the treatment of bilge oily water on ships. Additionally, it finds extensive application in mines, power – generating stations, and oil depots to handle oily water, especially that with a high emulsive oil concentration. This separator strictly adheres to the discharge standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and also complies with the oily water discharge regulations for vessels, mines, and enterprises in China. The outflow quality of the device meets the requirements of Resolution IMO – Mepc107 (49), ensuring environmentally friendly and legal operation.

  • Comprehensive Construction: The separator is composed of a primary oil – water separator, a secondary emulsive oil separator, a screw pump, an electric control box, an oily consistency detector, a strainer, a fine filter, and a 3 – way valve (or solenoid valve). All these components are installed on a common base, providing a compact and integrated solution. Moreover, depending on the specific layout of different engine rooms, the primary oil – water separator and electric control box can be installed separately from the secondary emulsive oil separator and oily consistency detector.
  • Avoidance of Emulsion: The accessory pump does not directly draw from the oily water, effectively preventing the emulsification of the oily water. This design feature enables the device to achieve a high separating efficiency, ensuring optimal treatment results.
  • Advanced Separation Technology: It employs a combination of gravitational separation in a vacuum and refined emulsified oil separation methods. When the oily water passes through the tunnel of the coalescing element at a specific degree and speed, the oil drops conglomerate and rapidly float upward to the oil – collecting room at the top of the device. The coalescing element has a self – backflushing function, minimizing the risk of blockage. In long – term use, there is no need to replace the coalescing element, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
  • Intelligent Control and Safety: The device features excellent automatic oil discharge control and safety precautions for the accessory pump. It can automatically control the primary discharge process or switch to the secondary discharge process based on the characteristics of the oily – water. If the oil concentration in the processed water exceeds the limit, it can automatically return the unqualified water to the bilge. The device is easy to operate and highly reliable, meeting the requirements for 24 – hour unattended engine rooms.

  • When treating normal (non – emulsified) oily water using only the primary oil – water separator, the effluence of the device is less than 10PPM, demonstrating its high – efficiency separation capability for simple oily water mixtures.
