**Overview**
The WCMBR Series Sewage Treatment Plant uses contact oxidation and ultraviolet disinfection to treat domestic sewage from ship toilets. Features include: small volume, light weight, compact structure, strong sterilization, no secondary pollution. Treated effluent meets IMO MEPC.159(55) and international discharge standards. Strong corrosion resistance; suitable for seawater flushing toilets.
**System Composition**
Consists of five watertight tanks: sewage tank, first-stage contact oxidation tank, second-stage contact oxidation tank, settlement tank, and catchment tank.
**Operating Principle**
Sewage from toilets flows naturally into the sewage tank. After full maceration, it enters the contact oxidation tank where an air pump provides aeration. Wastewater flows through packing media and contacts biofilm, where organic pollutants are retained, degraded, and converted into CO₂ and water. After treatment in the second contact oxidation tank, the sewage flows into the settlement tank for settling and clarification, then into the catchment tank. When a certain volume is collected, a process pump starts, sending water through an ultrafilter to remove impurities. Filtered water passes through a UV disinfection device to remove bacteria before being discharged overboard. Sludge from the settlement tank is periodically returned to the first-stage contact oxidation tank via airlift, improving effluent quality and biofilm activity.
