Marine E&Steam heating water tank

1. Overview

The ZRG Series Electric & Steam heating water tank can be connected in series with the ship’s pressurized freshwater tank. This system utilizes freshwater supplied by the pressurized freshwater tank to replenish the heater tank while efficiently heating water using surplus shipboard steam (from auxiliary boilers or the low – pressure section of main boilers), thereby reducing energy consumption costs. During steam supply interruptions or under low – load conditions, the system can switch to electric heating to ensure continuous hot water supply. The heated freshwater enters the ship’s water supply network. This system is suitable for all vessels equipped with a steam source or AC 380V/50Hz or AC 440V/60Hz power supply, providing heated water for crew use.

3. Technical Features

Control: The water temperature inside the cabinet is controlled by a thermostat. When the water temperature falls below 50°C, the power supply automatically turns on and the electric heater begins heating. When the water temperature rises above 65°C, the power supply automatically shuts off and the electric heater stops. It features both automatic control (automatic heating, automatic shutdown) and manual control options.
Protection: Includes protection against overload, short – circuit, overheating, and audible – visual alarms.
Reliable: Comprises a 40mm thick insulation layer, double – sided sealed welded tank body, and solid construction.
Easy Maint: Vibration – resistant, shock – resistant, low failure rate, and easy to maintain.
Safety: When the water level falls below the float switch, it immediately cuts off the power supply and triggers an alarm to prevent dry – burning damage to the heater.
