Jacketed Gasket – High-Pressure, High-Temperature Metal Jacketed Sealing Solution
Product Overview
A Jacketed Gasket is a high-performance industrial sealing gasket designed for demanding applications in chemical processing, oil and gas, and power generation industries. This composite seal features a flexible non-metallic core—such as graphite, PTFE, or ceramic fiber—encased by a thin metal jacket (0.25–0.5 mm) using specialized cold-forming technology. Available in flat or corrugated jacket designs, it combines the resilience of soft filler materials with the durability and structural integrity of metal, making it ideal for heat exchangers, reactors, and non-circular flange connections.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Excellent Sealing Under Low Bolt Load: The soft core material compresses easily, creating a reliable seal with minimal flange pressure.
-
High Temperature & Pressure Resistance: Withstands extreme conditions (up to 1090°C and 250 BAR, depending on materials).
-
Corrosion-Resistant Construction: Metal jackets (stainless steel, titanium, Monel, etc.) protect against aggressive media including acids, steam, and solvents.
-
Customizable Shapes & Sizes: Can be manufactured in oval, square, ribbed, or complex geometries to fit unique flange layouts or heat exchanger tube patterns.
-
Durable & Non-Stick Surface: Metal jacket prevents gasket sticking, tearing, or flange damage during frequent maintenance or disassembly.
-
Wide Material Compatibility: Multiple core and jacket combinations available to meet specific thermal, chemical, and mechanical requirements.
Applications
-
Heat exchanger gaskets (shell-and-tube, floating head)
-
Reactor and pressure vessel manway seals
-
Boiler and steam system flanges
-
Chemical pump and valve sealing
-
Pipeline connectors in refineries and petrochemical plants
