HBNF SERIES FRESH WATER GENERATOR

Working Principle

The seawater to be distilled evaporates at a temperature of about 38°C, as is passes between the hot plates in the evaporator. The evaporating temperature corresponds to a vacuum of approximately 90% which is maintained by the brine/air ejector.

The vapors generated pass through a demister where any drops of seawater entrained are removed and fail to the bottom of the distiller chamber. The vapor continue to the condenser where they condense to fresh water as they pass between the cold plates. After checking by the salinometer, the fresh water in good quality be sent to fresh water tanker, unqualified freshwater be sent over board.

HBNF Series Fresh Water Generator Main Components

1. Evaporator (Titanium plate)
   The evaporator section consists of a plate heat exchanger and is enclosed in the separator chamber.
2. Condenser (Titanium plate)
   Same with evaporator section, the condenser section consists of a plate heat exchanger and is enclosed in the separator chamber.
3. Separator (Cast bronze, stainless steel)
   Separator chamber (Cast bronze casing, stainless steel cover)
   Separator will separate the brine from the vapour.
4. Ejector (Sea water / Air combined ejector)
   Combined brine/air ejector (Cast bronze)
   Ejectors will separate the brine and the uncondensed gases from the separator chamber.
   The ejector extracts the brine and incondensable gases from the separator chamber.
5. Ejector pump (Seawater pump)
   Ejector pump is supplied by manufacturer. This pump is a single-stage vertical centrifugal pump. This pump supplies the condenser with sea water and brine/air ejector with jet water as well as feed water from evaporator.
6. Condensate pump (Freshwater pump)
   Freshwater pump is a single-stage centrifugal pump. The freshwater pump extracts the produced fresh water from the condenser, and pumps the water to the freshwater tank.
7. Salinity (Already assembled in control panel)
   Salinometer Already assembled in the control panel.
   Salinity meter continuously checks the salinity of the produced water. The alarm set point is adjustable.
8. Control panel
   Control panel is supplied by manufacturer. It contains motor starters, running lights, salinometer, contacts for remote alarm and is prepared for surface.
