Efficient Bilge Water Treatment | 15ppm Marine Bilge Separator
Our Efficient Bilge Water Treatment system is a comprehensive, IMO MEPC.107(49) – certified answer to the challenge of handling oily bilge water on vessels of every size. This fully type – approved marine bilge water treatment system integrates a three – stage separation technology with cutting – edge monitoring features. It guarantees unwavering compliance with the international 15ppm discharge standards, effectively shielding marine ecosystems from the harmful impacts of oil pollution.
Key Features & Advantages
✔ Three – Stage Separation Technology: Employing gravity separation, fiber filtration, and membrane permeation, this system delivers outstanding performance in separating oil from bilge water. The gravity separation stage uses a cone – plate design to remove larger oil particles. The fiber filtration stage adsorbs and filters finer oil droplets, while the membrane permeation stage ensures the final effluent meets the stringent 15ppm standard.
✔ IMO MEPC.107(49) Certification: It strictly adheres to the demanding international marine environmental standards, providing you with a reliable and compliant solution for bilge water treatment.
✔ Integrated Monitoring System: Equipped with a 15ppm bilge alarm and an automatic shut – down device, this system offers continuous monitoring of the effluent. If the oil content exceeds the limit, the automatic shut – down device immediately stops the discharge, preventing non – compliant emissions.
✔ Vacuum Negative Pressure Design: This innovative design prevents the formation of emulsions, which can significantly reduce the efficiency of the separation process. By maintaining a vacuum negative pressure, the system ensures more effective separation of oil and water.
✔ Global Certification: Our bilge water treatment system has received approvals from major marine classification societies such as ABS, BV, CCS, DNV, GL, KR, LR, RINA, and others, ensuring its worldwide acceptance and reliability.

How Our Marine Oil – Water Separation System Functions
Three – Stage Treatment Process
- First Stage: The cone – plate gravity and coalesce separator effectively removes larger oil particles from the bilge water. The unique design of the cone – plate structure promotes the coalescence of oil droplets, making them easier to separate.
- Second Stage: The fiber filter adsorbs and filters finer oil droplets that may have passed through the first stage. The high – surface – area fibers trap the oil particles, ensuring a more thorough separation.
- Third Stage: The membrane permeation stage acts as a final polishing step. It uses a semi – permeable membrane to separate any remaining oil from the water, ensuring that the final effluent meets the 15ppm standard.
Monitoring & Safety Features
- Continuous Oil Content Monitoring: The 15ppm bilge alarm continuously measures the oil content in the effluent. If the level exceeds the set limit, it triggers an alert.
- Automatic Diversion Valve: When the effluent exceeds the 15ppm limit, the automatic diversion valve redirects the non – compliant effluent back to the bilge, preventing its discharge into the marine environment.
- Pneumatic Three – Way Valve: This valve automatically activates when the oil content limits are exceeded, further ensuring that non – compliant emissions are prevented.
Operational Advantages
- Vacuum Negative Pressure System: By preventing emulsion formation, this system maintains high separation efficiency and reduces the need for frequent maintenance.
- Simple Installation: The system is designed for easy installation with standard marine connections, saving time and effort during the setup process.
- Low Maintenance Design: The components are easily accessible, making routine maintenance and repairs straightforward and cost – effective.
