Bilge Water Separation Processor – Advanced IMO MEPC.107(49) Compliant Treatment System
Product Overview
Our Bilge Water Separation Processor is a state-of-the-art, multi-stage filtration system engineered to treat oily bilge water to meet and exceed international environmental standards. Utilizing a sophisticated three-stage separation process, this system ensures discharged water contains ≤15ppm of oil, fully complying with IMO MEPC.107(49) regulations and MARPOL Annex I. Ideal for all marine vessels, this processor combines high efficiency, automation, and reliability for sustainable bilge water management.
Key Features & Benefits
-
✅ IMO MEPC.107(49) & MARPOL Certified – Guarantees effluent quality under 15ppm for legal overboard discharge.
-
✅ Three-Stage Separation Technology – Employs gravity separation, coalescing filtration, and membrane permeation for superior oil removal.
-
✅ Vacuum Feeding System – Prevents emulsification and enhances separation efficiency by suction under negative pressure.
-
✅ Fully Automated Operation – Integrated 15ppm bilge alarm and automatic diverter valve recirculate out-of-spec water.
-
✅ Global Marine Approvals – Certified by CCS, BV, DNV, ABS, LR, GL, KR, RINA, and EC.
-
✅ Robust Construction – Designed for harsh marine environments with low maintenance and long service life.
How It Works – Efficient Three-Stage Bilge Treatment
-
First Stage – Gravity & Coalescing Separation: Bilge water is drawn in under vacuum by the feeding pump into a cone plate coalescer, where large oil droplets are separated without forced emulsification.
-
Second Stage – Fiber Filter Adsorption: The pre-treated water passes through a fine fiber filter that captures remaining oil particles.
-
Third Stage – Membrane Permeation: Finally, a high-precision membrane polishes the water, removing emulsified oils to achieve ≤15ppm purity.
The integrated 15ppm oil content monitor continuously analyzes the effluent. If oil levels exceed the limit, the system automatically activates the third-stage membrane treatment and recirculates non-compliant water back to the bilge tank via a pneumatic three-way valve.

Maintenance Guide
-
Regular Backflush (Every 6 Months): Switch to “manual back flush” mode. Close the waste oil valve, open the backwash valve, and allow clean water to flow for approximately 15 minutes to clean the cone wave plates in the first separator.
-
Second-Stage Filter Replacement: Monitor the pressure differential across the fiber filter. If it exceeds 10m H₂O, shutdown the system, drain the filter housing, and replace the clogged filter element. Average replacement frequency is once per year.
