How It Works – Advanced Three-Stage Separation

  1. First Stage – Gravity Separation: Heated bilge water enters conical plate separators where large oil droplets are removed by gravity.

  2. Second Stage – Coalescing Filtration: Fine oil particles are captured and merged using specialized fiber filters.

  3. Third Stage – Membrane Filtration: Ultra-fine emulsified oils are removed via semi-permeable membranes, ensuring output consistently below 15ppm.

The system intelligently switches to the third stage only when needed, preserving membrane life and optimizing energy consumption.


Membrane Life & Maintenance
The membrane is a critical component with a typical service life of 3–5 years, extendable to 8–9 years with proper operation and high-quality replacements. To maximize membrane lifespan:

  • Operate the system in AUTO mode to avoid unnecessary manual use of the third-stage membrane.

  • Prevent surfactants, detergents, and cleaning agents from entering the bilge tank.

  • Source OEM-grade or certified compatible membrane elements to ensure performance and longevity.
