Ship Globe Valve with Cast Iron Construction for Industrial Marine Applications

Standards & Identification Features

Our ship globe valve, crafted from high – quality cast iron, strictly adheres to the JIS B 2210 5K pressure class standard. This compliance ensures that the valve can withstand the specific pressure requirements commonly encountered in marine and industrial settings.

To meet the diverse needs of our customers, the nameplate on the valve is fully customizable according to the purchaser’s specific requirements. Whether it’s adding a company logo, unique identification numbers, or other relevant information, we can tailor the nameplate to enhance brand recognition and traceability.

Material Composition and Key Characteristics of Ship Globe Valve Components

Main Structure Components

  • Body/Bonnet/Handwheel: Made of cast iron (FC200), these parts offer excellent high – vibration damping properties. In the harsh marine environment where vibrations from engines and waves are constant, this characteristic helps to maintain the stability and longevity of the valve, reducing the risk of premature wear and failure.

Sealing Assembly Components

  • Disc/Seat/Nut/Bush: We offer two options for these components. One is bronze (C83600), known for its outstanding corrosion and wear resistance. In a marine environment filled with saltwater and various chemicals, this material can effectively prevent degradation, ensuring a tight seal over an extended period. The other option is stainless steel (SUS304), which also provides excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for applications where a higher level of hygiene and chemical resistance is required.
  • Packing Gland: Constructed from bronze (C93700), it provides smooth stem guidance. This smooth operation reduces friction between the stem and the gland, minimizing the wear on both components and ensuring a reliable and long – lasting sealing performance.

Fastening System Components

  • Studs/Nuts: Made of steel (SS400), these parts have high tensile strength. In the demanding marine environment, where the valve may be subject to significant mechanical forces, the high – strength studs and nuts can firmly hold the valve components together, preventing loosening and potential leaks.
  • Locking Components: Crafted from brass (C3604), they offer non – sparking safety. In environments where flammable gases or liquids may be present, such as in fuel storage areas on ships, the non – sparking property of these components reduces the risk of fire and explosion, enhancing overall safety.

Sealing Elements

  • Gaskets/Packing: Composed of non – asbestos composite material, they are temperature resistant up to ≤260°C. This high – temperature resistance makes the valve suitable for applications where elevated temperatures may occur, such as in engine rooms or heat exchanger systems on ships, ensuring a reliable seal even under high – temperature conditions.
