PIPELINE OIL CONTAMINATION DETECTION TRANSMITTER CP-63A

GENERAL
This device is installed in the cooling water line of ship and is designed to detect oil of cooling water. This system consists of oil detection pot, capacitive switch, control unit and signal transmitter. It has no cathodic protection for the separation of oil and water and has no cap valve for the insulation of the input and output line. Capacitive type oil detector is installed in oil detection pot, detecting all oil located from the water on the top of detector. Control unit receives signal which is changed by a capacitive switch and convert point of contact to relay contact.

GENERAL
This equipment consists of oil detection sensor, capacitive switch and controller etc. It is used to detect oil in oily water in oil collecting tank for oily water separation system. The oil detection sensor is installed on the bottom side of the oil collecting tank. When oil is detected, a signal will be sent to the controller and the controller will give an alarm and cut the power. The oil collecting tank means the tank which is used for collecting the oily water in bilge and sludge. When the oil is accumulated in the tank for a long time and the quantity goes beyond the permissible value, the oily water can be discharged to the water side, but the oil cannot be discharged. In this case, the oil detection sensor will be filled with oil and produce an alarm. For normal conditions, some small quantity of oily water usually enter into the oil collecting tank, but the oil is limited. In case of stop, the oil in the tank increases and it causes the alarm. When the tank is full of oil, the oil cannot be discharged. The oil cannot go into the water side in an accident, the oil is kept inside the tank. In this condition, the oil detection sensor will not operate and cause the alarm.
