NYP Series High-Viscosity Internal Gear Pump

1. Brief Introduction

The NYP series internal gear pump is a new type of positive displacement pump, designed based on the requirements of different fields such as petroleum, chemical industry, paint, medicine, and food. It is widely applicable to various industries and can transport media with different properties and viscosities. It is suitable for conveying high-viscosity media under different operating conditions.

  • Applicable Viscosity Range: 1.0St – 300,000St

2. Structural Type

(1) Working Principle

The pump is driven by an internal rotor (outer-toothed) which drives the inner rotor to rotate in the same direction within a fully enclosed pump body. The meshing of the inner and outer rotors forms a sealed cavity. During rotation, the medium enters the suction port and is trapped in the sealed cavity. As the rotors continue to rotate, the medium is transported to the discharge port and pushed out by the meshing rotors, completing the fluid conveying process.

(2) Structure

The pump mainly consists of the pump body, inner and outer rotors, shaft, mechanical seal (or packing seal), etc. The pump body is mainly composed of the pump housing, front cover, rear cover, and other parts. The inner and outer rotors are key components for conveying the medium, and the shaft transmits power. The mechanical seal (or packing seal) prevents medium leakage. For high-temperature media, a cooling chamber can be designed in the front and rear covers to cool the sealed cavity. During operation, steam or cooling water can be circulated in the cooling chamber to cool the sealed cavity, ensuring the normal operation of the mechanical seal and preventing medium leakage. The pump can be equipped with a safety valve. When the pump or pipeline system is overpressurized, the safety valve opens to form an internal return loop, ensuring system safety. The pump unit consists of a pump, a motor, and a base. There are two transmission modes: direct drive and indirect drive. Looking from the motor end to the pump, it is clockwise rotation.

3. Advantages

  • The speed of the pump is linearly related to the flow rate, and the flow rate can be appropriately changed by changing the speed.
  • It is particularly suitable for the transportation of high-viscosity media.
