The marine sewage vacuum system is a core system for collecting and treating domestic sewage on modern cruises, especially passenger ships, ocean ships, and naval vessels. It operates on the principle of vacuum negative pressure. By establishing and maintaining a stable vacuum state within the pipeline, it enables solids and other sanitary fixtures to quickly and thoroughly evacuate waste to a centralized collection tank using only a small amount of flush water. This design significantly conserves the ship’s precious fresh water reserves. Furthermore, due to its small pipe diameter, high flow velocity, and flexible layout, it greatly optimizes the spatial arrangement of the ship’s cabins. The system operates fully enclosed, effectively preventing the escape of sewage odors and pipeline leaks, thereby ensuring a hygienic living environment for crew and passengers. The collected sewage is ultimately treated by a specialized marine sewage treatment plant to meet standards before discharge or held in a sewage tank, strictly complying with the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) environmental conventions. It is a key technological asset for vessels to achieve green and environmentally friendly operation.
