Heating & Circulation System

  • Electric Heaters: Comprises 2 × RYF 480V/18kW and 2 × RYF 480V/12kW electric heaters, providing powerful and efficient heating.
  • Circulating Pumps: Two 1.5CWX – 2 pumps are installed to ensure a continuous and smooth flow of hot water.
  • Temperature Control: Precision WSS – 401 thermometers and controllers are used for accurate temperature management.

Safety & Monitoring

  • Safety Valve: An A21F – 16P model safety valve is set at the appropriate pressure to prevent over – pressurization.
  • Pressure Monitoring: A YC – 100T pressure gauge with proper connections is used to monitor the pressure within the system.
  • Level Control: A UQK – 01 fluid position controller is employed to maintain the correct water level.
  • Access Points: A DN400 manhole cover is provided for easy maintenance and inspection.

Operational Principle

Heating Process

  • Cold Water Input: Cold water is drawn from the pressure tank at approximately 15°C.
  • Electric Heating: The electric heaters raise the water temperature to the target of 65°C.
  • Continuous Circulation: The heated water is continuously circulated through the ship’s hot water system.
  • Return Water Recirculation: The return water is recirculated and reheated as necessary to maintain a consistent hot water supply.

Automatic Control

  • Temperature Maintenance: The system automatically maintains the water temperature at the optimal 65°C.
  • Automatic Pump Operation: The pumps operate automatically to ensure a consistent flow of hot water.
  • Safety Shutdown: Safety shutdown features are in place to protect against overpressure situations.
  • Energy Efficiency: Precise control mechanisms contribute to energy efficiency, reducing power consumption.
