DRG-0.5 Marine Domestic Hot Water Heater: Efficient Electric Heating Solution for Onboard Hot Water Supply

Product Description:

The DRG-0.5 Marine Domestic Hot Water Heater is a cutting-edge, electric-powered solution designed to provide a reliable and consistent supply of hot water on marine vessels. This series of water heaters can be seamlessly integrated with a fresh water pressure tank on board, utilizing fresh water from the hydrophore system to replenish the tank. The water is then heated electrically, ensuring a steady supply of hot water for the entire vessel’s needs.

Key Features & Components:

  1. Temperature Control System: The water temperature in the tank is precisely controlled by two WTZK-50-C pressure-type temperature controllers. When the water temperature drops below 50℃, the electric heater automatically activates to heat the water. Conversely, when the temperature exceeds 65℃, the heater switches off to prevent overheating.
  2. Pressure Gauge: Displays the real-time pressure inside the tank, allowing for easy monitoring and maintenance.
  3. Thermometer: Clearly indicates the current water temperature in the tank, ensuring optimal usage conditions.
  4. Safety Valve: Automatically opens when the pressure in the tank exceeds 0.42MPa, releasing excess pressure to prevent potential hazards. Note: It is crucial not to wind raw material belts into the inlet of the safety valve during installation.
  5. Float Level Switch: Protects the electric heater by automatically cutting off power if the liquid level in the tank falls below the float level switch, preventing dry heating.
  6. Electric Control Box: Offers both manual and automatic control modes for hot water heating. In manual mode, the heater operates until the water reaches 65℃. In automatic mode, it activates when the water temperature drops below 50℃ and stops at 65℃. For tanks with multiple electric heaters, a segmentation heating method is employed to manage the high power demand efficiently.

FAQs:

Q1: How does the DRG-0.5 Marine Domestic Hot Water Heater ensure consistent hot water supply?
A1: The heater is equipped with a precise temperature control system that automatically activates and deactivates the electric heater based on the water temperature in the tank, ensuring a consistent supply of hot water.

Q2: What safety measures are in place to prevent overheating and over-pressurization in the DRG-0.5 heater?
A2: The heater features a safety valve that opens when the pressure exceeds 0.42MPa, releasing excess pressure. Additionally, the temperature controllers prevent overheating by switching off the heater when the water temperature reaches 65℃.

Q3: Can the DRG-0.5 heater be operated in both manual and automatic modes?
A3: Yes, the electric control box offers both manual and automatic control modes, allowing users to choose the most suitable operation method based on their needs.

Q4: How does the float level switch protect the electric heater in the DRG-0.5 model?
A4: The float level switch automatically cuts off power to the electric heater if the liquid level in the tank falls below the switch, preventing dry heating and potential damage to the heater.

Q5: What is the segmentation heating method used in the DRG-0.5 heater with multiple electric heaters?
A5: For tanks with two or three groups of electric heaters, the segmentation heating method is employed. This means that one group of heaters starts working first, and after a minute, another group begins to operate. This process continues until all heaters are activated, ensuring efficient management of the high power demand and preventing electrical overload. All heaters stop working once the water in the tank reaches 65℃.
