J-Type Chain Chaser

The J-Type Chain Chaser is a robust and certified marine tool designed to efficiently recover lost anchors from the seabed when they become detached from buoys or vessels. Engineered for durability and performance, it ensures safe and effective retrieval in challenging underwater conditions.

How It Works:

Connected via wire rope to an anchor-handling tug’s winch, the chain chaser is deployed to approximately one-third of the water depth.
It “snags” the anchor chain, guiding it into secure contact with the anchor shank and flukes.
Once engaged, the tug can smoothly lift and retrieve the anchor, even in heavy-duty conditions.
