How It Works – Advanced Two-Stage Treatment Process

Ballasting Phase:

Self-Cleaning Filtration: Incoming water passes through a 40-micron automatic filter, removing suspended solids, sediments, and larger organisms
UV Disinfection: Filtered water enters the medium-pressure UV reactor, where UV-C radiation eradicates bacteria, viruses, plankton, and larvae
Clean Ballast Storage: Treated water is distributed to ballast tanks, preventing sediment accumulation and weight loss

Deballasting Phase:

Bypass Filtration: Ballast water bypasses the filter unit and flows directly to the UV reactor
Secondary Disinfection: UV reactor eliminates any organisms that may have regenerated in tanks (preventing “dark repair” regrowth)
Safe Discharge: Treated water is discharged compliantly without harming local ecosystems
