50-Persons Marine Sewage Treater System

Our WCMBR – 50(U) 50-persons marine sewage Treater system stands as a premier choice for vessels with a capacity of up to 50 individuals. This advanced wastewater treatment equipment is engineered to deliver reliable and efficient processing of both black water (toilet waste) and gray water (such as sink and shower runoff) generated onboard ships, ensuring strict compliance with the rigorous IMO MEPC 159(55) standards for marine sewage treatment.

Key Features and Advantages

  • High-Quality Certified Performance for Marine Wastewater Treatment: This marine sewage treatment unit is fully certified to meet the IMO MEPC 159(55) effluent standards, guaranteeing that the treated water is of the highest quality, meeting both environmental and regulatory requirements. This certification provides ship operators with the assurance that their vessel’s wastewater treatment is in line with international best practices, enhancing their reputation and compliance.
  • All-Inclusive Treatment Process for Comprehensive Sewage Management: The system integrates three critical treatment stages: biological treatment, MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) filtration, and UV disinfection. This multi-stage approach ensures thorough and effective removal of harmful substances and pathogens, resulting in clean and safe effluent that can be safely discharged into the marine environment.
  • Flexible Installation Options for Various Vessel Types: Designed with versatility in mind, this marine sewage treatment plant is suitable for both inspected and uninspected vessels. Whether your ship undergoes regular inspections or operates in a more relaxed regulatory environment, this system can be easily installed and seamlessly integrated into the existing ship infrastructure, minimizing downtime and disruption.
  • Durable and Long-Lasting Construction for Harsh Marine Conditions: The main body of the system is constructed from high-quality Q235-A steel, renowned for its strength and durability. This robust construction enables the system to withstand the harsh marine environment, including saltwater corrosion and extreme weather conditions. With a test pressure of 0.021MPa, it ensures reliable performance under various operating conditions, providing long-term value for ship owners.
  • Global Certification Recognition for International Compliance: This marine sewage treatment system holds certifications from major classification societies worldwide, including ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), BV (Bureau Veritas), DNV (Det Norske Veritas), LR (Lloyd’s Register), CCS (China Classification Society), USCG (United States Coast Guard), RINA (Registro Italiano Navale), and NK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai). These certifications demonstrate the system’s compliance with international safety and quality standards, facilitating its use in global shipping operations.

System Capacity and Performance

  • Rated Capacity: Specifically designed to serve vessels with a capacity of 50 persons, ensuring efficient treatment for the entire crew and passengers.
  • Daily Flow: Handles a daily wastewater flow of 3,780 liters, providing ample capacity for the specified number of people on board, even during peak usage periods.
  • Effluent Quality:
    • BOD5 (Biochemical Oxygen Demand): ≤ 25 mg/L, indicating a low level of organic pollutants in the treated water, which is crucial for maintaining water quality in the marine environment.
    • TSS (Total Suspended Solids): ≤ 35 mg/L, ensuring that the effluent is clear and free from large particles that could harm marine life or clog discharge pipes.
    • Coliforms: ≤ 100 MPN/100mL, significantly reducing the number of harmful bacteria in the treated water, protecting public health and the marine ecosystem.
    • COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand): ≤ 125 mg/L, reflecting the overall pollution level of the wastewater after treatment, demonstrating the system’s effectiveness in removing contaminants.
    • pH: Ranges from 6 to 8.5, maintaining a neutral to slightly alkaline environment for the treated water, which is optimal for marine life and prevents corrosion of discharge pipes.
    • Residual Chlorine: < 0.5 mg/L, preventing excessive chlorine levels that could be harmful to the marine ecosystem, ensuring environmentally friendly discharge.

Operating Conditions

  • Temperature Range: Can operate effectively in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +50°C, making it suitable for various climate conditions encountered during global shipping operations.
  • Humidity: Functions well in environments with humidity levels up to ≤90% RH, ensuring reliable performance in humid marine settings, where corrosion and electrical issues can be a concern.
  • Power Supply: Requires an AC380V/50Hz/3φ power supply, which is a common power standard for marine applications, facilitating easy integration into existing ship electrical systems.
  • Compressed Air Requirement: Needs a compressed air supply of 0.1 – 0.3MPa and 0.2m³/h to support the operation of certain components in the system, such as the MBR filtration process, ensuring optimal performance.

Suitable 20-Persons Marine Sewage Treatment Plant: A Compact and Efficient Solution

Description

This marine sewage treatment device is designed to prevent pollution from ships and marine drilling platforms in seas and oceans, in accordance with the revised Annex IV of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution (MARPOL 73/78). It is specifically applicable for treating sewage, which includes human body wastes and toilet wastes on vessels (also known as “black water”), to meet the effluent standards of IMO.MEPC.159(55) and allow for safe discharge overboard. This device complies with the resolution MEPC.159(55) enacted on 13 October 2006, which mandates that all sewage treatment plants (STPs) installed on board ships on or after 1 January 2010 must meet this resolution.

In addition to its marine applications, this device is also suitable for treating terrestrial sewage, providing a versatile solution for various wastewater treatment needs. The water quality after treatment can reach national reuse water quality requirements, making it an eco-friendly choice for water conservation. It is also applicable for treating galley and shower drainage (known as “gray water”), provided that the gray water is pretreated and a larger capacity model is selected to match the increased wastewater volume.

We hold certificates from CCS, GL, ABS, DNV, BV, RS, and other classification societies, demonstrating our commitment to quality and compliance with international standards.
