Our electric capstan is primarily designed for anchoring and mooring applications on ships and law enforcement boats. It incorporates a range of high – quality components, including a wear – resistant marine cable drum that can withstand the harsh marine environment, a marine worm gear reducer for smooth and efficient power transmission, a marine brake control motor for reliable braking performance, and an IP56 – rated main electric control box and main controller with a sturdy base. These components work in harmony to ensure the capstan operates seamlessly in various marine conditions.

Configuration Options

Type:

Installation:
- Deck – penetrating: Requires some penetration into the deck for installation. Although it involves a bit more installation work, it offers a more stable and secure mounting option.
- Full above – deck: Makes installation and maintenance easier as it does not require deck penetration. This is a great choice for vessels where minimizing deck modifications is a priority.
Line Access:
- Vertical Capstan: Enables 360° operation, allowing for flexible rope handling from any direction. This is extremely useful in crowded or complex mooring situations where ropes need to be pulled from different angles.
- Horizontal Capstan: Provides directional line access, suitable for specific line – handling requirements. It is more focused and efficient when dealing with a single direction of line movement.
